A single-file web app for comparing when a later, bigger Social Security check overtakes an earlier, smaller one — built to help my parents think through their own claiming decision.
A small, single-file calculator comparing cumulative Social Security benefits across claiming ages, in both nominal and inflation-adjusted dollars — no build step, no framework, just HTML/CSS/JS and hand-drawn canvas charts.
It started as a way to help my parents see the tradeoff visually instead of arguing from gut feeling. It has no mortality or life-expectancy modeling, so the "right" answer depends heavily on how long you assume you'll live and what inflation does — worth treating as a way to build intuition, not as financial advice.
